Senior Business Analyst
On behalf of a client, provider of specialized and integrated IT and communications solutions in the Cypriot market, we are currently seeking an experienced and user-focused Business Analyst to join their team in Nicosia.
Objective
The ideal candidate will combine expertise in business analysis with a solid understanding of UX principles and digital customer journey mapping. You will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional digital experiences by analysing, documenting, and optimizing customer journeys and business processes while bridging the gap between stakeholders and the agile development team.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with stakeholders to gather and define detailed business requirements for digital initiatives.
• Map and analyse digital customer journeys to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.
• Translate business and customer needs into functional and technical specifications for the development team.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure user-centric designs align with business goals.
• Advocate for best practices in usability and accessibility to optimize digital customer experiences.
• Analyse feedback and usage data to provide insights into UX improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of customer journeys, process flows, and touchpoints.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer interactions across multiple digital channels.
• Act as a Product Owner proxy, refining and prioritizing the product backlog based on business and customer needs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with developers to ensure clarity of requirements and resolve queries during sprints.
• Develop and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes to validate digital deliverables meet business requirements and enhance customer experience.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure test cases align with documented customer journeys.
• Use data-driven insights to propose enhancements to digital platforms and services.
• Stay informed on emerging trends in digital customer experiences and apply them to drive innovation.
Position’s Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or any other related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in digital transformation or customer-focused projects.
• Demonstrable experience in documenting and optimizing digital customer journeys.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or UX-related certifications are highly advantageous.
• Business Analysis:
• Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and stakeholder management.
• Strong experience in documenting customer journeys and touchpoints using tools like Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio.
• User Experience Knowledge:
• Understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and user-centric design.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI teams to align on user flows and design solutions.
• Digital Channels & Agile Practices:
• Familiarity with web and mobile application development processes.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Tools:
• Expertise with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and visualization tools for journey mapping.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
