The successful candidate will be member of a dedicated Innovation team, which manages the innovation and technology lifecycle from idea through R&D and commercialisation. Examples of developed innovative technologies at CyRIC, include:

OPTeBOX – A smart solution addressing the first-mile letter collection problem

SAT IoT Hub – A robust IoT gateway for seamless data collection and communication

Such innovative technologies are commercialised by CyRIC IoT that specializes in IoT solutions for smart cities, industrial automation, and environmental monitoring.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a forward-thinking Innovation and Technology Management Officer to lead strategic initiatives, foster a culture of innovation, and drive the commercialization of groundbreaking technologies within our organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, refining business models, and managing technology-focused projects to drive growth and impact.

Reports to: Innovation Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement innovation and technology management strategies aligned with the company's vision.
• Facilitate the use of Strategyzer tools, including the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Value Proposition Canvas, to evaluate and refine business opportunities.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to translate technical innovations into viable commercial opportunities.
• Manage technology portfolios and oversee the lifecycle of innovation projects, from ideation to execution.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth areas.
• Support the development of partnerships, funding proposals, and pilot projects for new ventures.
• Track and measure the impact of innovation initiatives, reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Innovation Management, Technology Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in innovation and technology management roles, ideally within a high-tech or R&D environment.
• Proficiency with Strategyzer tools such as the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas.
• Strong understanding of business strategy, technology commercialization, and market trends.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Familiarity with funding mechanisms, startup ecosystems, and corporate innovation processes is a plus.
