The Client:
Our client, OneVault, which has recently received its EMI licence from the Central Bank of Cyprus is looking to recruit a Banking Systems Support Specialist for its offices in Nicosia.
OneVault is member of Finvasia Gorup which is a global enterprise with headquarters in Chandigarh, India, offering services in 4 sectors of expertise – financial services, healthcare, blockchain and real estate.
The Position:
The Banking Systems Support Specialist will customize, maintain, and provide support the banking systems. This role will involve handling back-office banking operations, troubleshooting system issues, and assisting end users with technical problems, including software errors, network issues, and hardware failures.
Responsibilities:
1) System Customization & Maintenance:
- Customize and configure banking systems to meet business and regulatory requirements.

Maintain, update, and optimize core banking applications and related software.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for system enhancements and upgrades.

Ensure compliance with banking regulations and security standards when implementing system changes.
2) Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

Provide technical assistance to end users for issues related to banking software, hardware, and networks.

Diagnose, resolve, and escalate system errors, connectivity issues, and software bugs as needed.

Act as a liaison between end users, IT teams, and third-party service providers.

Monitor system performance and proactively address potential failures or inefficiencies.
3) Back-Office Operations Support:

Assist in daily banking operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing.

Support reconciliation, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities.

Troubleshoot operational discrepancies and provide resolution guidance.

Develop and maintain documentation for system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

Experience in banking operations and IT support, preferably within financial institutions.

Proficiency in banking software, databases, and system administration.

Strong troubleshooting skills for software, network, and hardware issues.

Familiarity with cybersecurity and regulatory compliance requirements in the banking sector.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Knowledge of SQL, scripting languages, or automation tools for system maintenance is a plus
