CareerFinders, on behalf our client, an expanding Financial Technology company with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Software Developer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for writing clean, concise, and efficient code within an agile environment, in order to develop and release software that meets both internal and external client needs within the financial services sector. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another closely related field, and will need to possess approximately 3+ years of previous experience as a Software Developer. Extensive knowledge of Java as well as hands-on experience with databases and SQL is required. Any knowledge of PHP and Laravel, along with familiarity with Python will be considered an advantage, but not essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Developing in an agile environment and releasing software on a regular schedule.
• Working primarily with Java and the Spring framework.
• Researching and introducing new technologies.
• Gaining experience with microservices architecture.
• Follow best practices for information security.
• Work closely with system analysts and regulatory compliance experts to define software requirements.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure.
• Write clean, concise, and efficient code.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a relevant field.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Extensive knowledge of Java.
• Hands-on experience with databases and SQL.
• Algorithms and data structures.
• Linux user.
• Innovative problem-solving skills that will produce workable solutions.
• A positive attitude.
• Flexible and highly adaptable to new situations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A team player, with an innate ability to think independently and creatively.

 

Nice To Have: 

• Previous working experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Big data.
• Knowledge of PHP and Laravel.
• TypeScript and React.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Understanding of AI and LLM concepts.
