POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Pit Supervisor/Inspector
Division: Gaming
Department: Table Games
Reports to: Pit Boss/Pit Manager Operations Manager Head of Table Games
Direct Reports: Dealer / Trainee Dealer
Location: COD Mediterranean
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pit Supervisor/Inspector, ensures that all gaming operations are carried out to the highest standard of efficiency, security, and customer service in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Casino.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises the games maintaining at all times the gaming procedures of the Casino
- Ensures the general tidiness of the gaming tables during operation e.g. keeps handbags off the tables and keeps score cards etc., off any part of the gaming layout
- Receives, checks and signs for cash chip floats/BJ cards upon opening gaming tables
- Requests, receives, checks and signs for fills/credits as and when required (always ensure adequate cash chip floats)
- Ensures all cash, chips and bets are clearly and audibly counted and announced in accordance with procedure
- Ensures all bets are correctly placed
- Supervises all transactions, records the cash drop and maintains an awareness of tables win/loss results
- At close of play, prepares the remaining cash chips for counting, checks and signs for same and return to casino cage
- As and when required, supervises table cash/tip counts, document and sign for same
- Shows "clean hands" in all circumstances where concealment of cash of chips could be possible and ensures that Dealers do likewise
- Ensures all documentation is legibly and accurately completed
- Performs the duties as a Dealer, Chipper as and when required
- Upon opening, ensures that necessary gaming equipment is available and in perfect working condition and upon closing, that all relevant equipment is returned
- Strictly adheres to the code of practice and code of conduct
- Is aware of the terms and conditions of employment and the disciplinary code
- Gives clear and concise commentary as necessary and ensures that Dealers give clear and concise commentary on all operations and transactions
- Accepts advice, guidance and direction given by the superiors
- Attends meetings, team briefs and on or off the job training sessions, as and when required to do so
- Makes any relevant comments to the supervisors regarding any suspicious activity noticed on the Casino floor
- Records directly for the accuracy of all transactions in the system, table inventory, players cash drop/chip hold and player averages
- Implements accurate AML procedures, Responsible Gaming and Gaming Standard Operating Procedures
- Offers quality of service to the patrons at the gaming table
- Manages conflict situations at the table and informs superiors in due time
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- 4 years overall gaming experience
- Minimum 1 year in an Inspector role
Education
- Secondary-level education
Skills / Competencies
- Good knowledge of Casino Games: America Roulette, Blackjack. Knowledge of any other game is highly regarded
- Communicational English (spoken and written) is a must; any other language will be considered as a strong advantage
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
