CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Auditor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing audit engagements for the company’s clients, as well as supervising and mentoring the work of less experienced team members. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 5+ years of experience in the audit field, with any experience performing audits for financial institutions considered an advantage. Holders of, or those working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) are encouraged to apply, and any previous experience working for Top 4 Audit Firms will be considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience.  

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Managing portfolio of clients and delivering high quality services.
• Conducting assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end.
• Planning, monitoring and control of audit work, supervision of audit team work.
• Communication with clients and evaluation of their needs and specifications, providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
• Communication with internal and external counterparties, including lawyers, accountants, internal and external auditors, government authorities as required.
• Coordination of operations, monitoring operating costs, budgets and resources.
• Performing other audit and supervision duties as assigned.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related subject.
• ACCA, ICAEW or other equivalent professional qualification or currently studying towards obtaining such a qualification.
• Working experience in Audit of approximately 5+ years.
• Experience working for Top 4 Audit Firms will be considered as an advantage.
• Previous experience in performing audits for financial institutions will be considered as an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in Cyprus.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
• Computer proficiency.
• Experience with Caseware Audit International will be considered a plus.
