CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of innovative technology solutions, with a particular focus on IT Consultancy & Software Development, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, the successful applicant will work closely with Software Development and Product Management teams to design and execute manual tests on both existing functionalities and upcoming software features. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant field, who possess 2+ years of previous experience in Software Quality Assurance. You will need to hold a strong understanding of Software QA methodologies and industry best practices, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 17:30 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with Software Development and Product Management teams to design and execute manual tests on both existing functionalities and upcoming software features. 
• Propose and implement new testing strategies, QA tools, and quality assurance metrics to enhance software reliability. 
• Identify, log, and document software defects for resolution. 
• Develop test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to ensure comprehensive coverage. 

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. 
• Strong understanding of Software QA methodologies and industry best practices. 
• Excellent analytical and planning skills. 
• Experience in defining acceptance criteria for software functionalities. 
• Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal). 
• Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and structured test plans and cases. 
• Familiarity with test management software (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and issue-tracking tools like JIRA/Confluence. 
• Hands-on knowledge of Test Automation tools such as Selenium and Cucumber will be considered a plus.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.
• Strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude. 
• Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing methodologies. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
