On behalf of our client, one of the most reputable and leading accounting firms based in Larnaca with an extensive clientele across Cyprus and abroad, we are seeking to recruit a dedicated, motivated, and experienced Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in Greek and English (Verbal and written).

  • LCCI Higher or equivalent knowledge in accounting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field will be considered an advantage.

  • Minimum 3-5 Years of Experience in the field of bookkeeping.

  • Proficient in MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

  • Knowledge of Accounting software ESOFT and payroll software PREMIERSOFT will be considered an advantage.

  • In-depth knowledge of local tax regulations, including VAT, Social Insurance and Direct Tax is required.

  • Strong understanding of VIES and VAT Regulations.

  • Responsible and detailed – oriented.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Dynamic, driven and self-motivated character.

  • Willingness to learn and develop.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing a Portfolio of Bookkeeping clients, liaising with clients to collect necessary documents regarding financial affairs of clients.

  • Handling Accounting and bookkeeping requirements for a variety of clients.

  • Supporting clients with accounting matters/queries and providing assistance when necessary.

  • Completing bank reconciliations and related journal entries.

  • Processing of sales and purchase invoices.

  • Performing Debtors and Creditors reconciliations.

  • Preparation and submission of VAT Returns & VIES Returns.

  • Managing/Assisting with Payroll Preparation and Social Insurance Payments and ensuring compliance with the local regulations.

  • Preparation of Financial Reports i.e. Trial Balances, Profit and Loss etc.

  • Preparing general ledgers and management accounts.

  • Compiling and analyzing financial statements.

  • IR1, IR7

  • Any other relevant accounting duties assigned by Management.

  • Reporting to the head of the Accounting Department.

  • Preparation of reports as requested.

  • Assistance with other administrative duties.
