JOB PURPOSE:

The General Manager leads the overall hotel strategy, securing the vision and core values of the company. Will ensure that all hotel day-to-day operations run smoothly, and in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the highest possible quality and standards of service to all guests, through the effective development, management and leadership of the hotel’s human resources, equipment and provisions. Will also be proactive in maintaining and improving profitability in accordance with policies, procedures and standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan, follow and implement the overall hotel strategy.

- Carry the overall responsibility of managing the hotel, its departments and employees.

- Ensure the efficient running and on-going profitability of the hotel and its departments.

- Ensure that actions coincide with and operate in the best interest of the business.

- Exhibit discretion with the procession of all duties and instructions of the company.

- Assume full responsibility and accountability of day-to-day operations, in full compliance with legislation and act in accordance with any such matter relating to the entire property.

- Cooperate closely with the upper management and shareholders with extensive reporting and briefings regarding issues likely to affect operations, finance, management, safety, risks, and other.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Graduate of hotel management school/university.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a General Manager, in a reputable 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Fluent in English language. Additional foreign languages will be considered an advantage.
  • Computer literate and familiar with various programs like Microsoft office, Fidelio, Opera, etc.
  • Record of continuous personal further development and education.
  • Highest standards of honesty, integrity, politeness, discretion, fairness and approach.
  • Superior qualities of leadership and management, with additional organisational and analytical skills.
  • Pleasant personality, highly self-confident, self-motivated, goal-orientated, competitive, results-driven.
  • Creative problem-solver and implementer of new ideas.
  • Culturally sensitive and adaptable.
  • Excellent team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • EU passport holder.
