On behalf of our client, a very well-known and respected football organisation in Cyprus, we are looking to hire an Accountant Assistant to join their dynamic finance team in Larnaca to maintain the their financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.

Candidate Profile:

• LCCI Higher Certificate in Accounting and/or relevant Bachelor degree

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel

• At least one year experience in a similar position

• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language

• Ability to meet targets and deadlines

• Good knowledge of accounting programs, E-soft Business Software, CYCOM will be considered an advantage.

• Good communication skills and able to work both independently and as a part of a team

• Attention to details to enter correct data into financial records and recognize errors

• Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines

• Interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees in the accounts department

• Administrative skills for filing financial records

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

• Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies

• Monitor and reconciliation of debtors, creditors and banks

• Completing VAT Returns

• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger

• Recording any inconsistencies to help the accountant reconcile inaccuracies

• Managing employee expenses claims

• Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts

• Perform other related duties as required by Supervisor or Management
