As part of the expansion of our University’s successful activities, we are seeking to appoint temporary TESOL teachers for UCLan Cyprus Language Academy courses.

We are looking for:

• Qualified and Experienced TESOL teachers required to deliver the below Summer courses, Mon-Fri, up to 12 weeks, (July-September):

- General / Academic English

- Professional English/ English for specific purposes

We are looking to build a team of engaging and experienced candidates, eager to:

• Facilitate learning of courses designed to:
  • improve overall language proficiency
  • upskill learners on entry exam preparation,
  • develop knowledge and usage of Professional English/ English for specific purposes
• Deliver best practice aimed at developing language skills of learners
• Create engaging and effective learner-centred lessons
• Assess progress and adjust programmes accordingly
• Create a climate of tolerance and appreciation of diversity.

The requirements:

• TESOL or TEFL qualified with:
  • Experience and Background in delivering English/ Academic English courses (for ages 17 and above) and/or
  • Experience and background in teaching Professional English/ English for specific purposes.
• 4 years + teaching experience, face to face  and/or online
• Passion and motivation for teaching and learning
• Experience in assessing the developmental needs of learners and adapting lessons accordingly
• Experience with adult learners
• To show flexibility and work as a team
• Be organised and punctual
• Native and near native speakers of English are preferred
• Experience of working with language learning platforms will be considered an advantage.

Monthly salary range, 960 -1500 euros, depending on the contact hours.
