Nurse Position (Part time)

The University of Nicosia Medical Centre, is seeking a well-qualified and motivated professional to join our team for the post of Nurse (Part time).

The successful candidate will be based in Nicosia and will be supporting the Medical Centre as a Part-time Nurse.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for examinations and treatments and collects objective and subjective assessment data in preparation for the patient’s exam.
• Serves as a productive member of the interdisciplinary care team providing input into care decisions.
• Provides direct patient care such as administration of medications and immunizations, venipuncture, health screenings, vital signs, conducting tests and other patient care activities.
• Documents patient care provided and follows all regulatory guidelines.
• Communicates test results to patients under the direction of the primary care practitioner.
• Coordinates medical care with other providers when patients are referred to other providers.
• Prepares and maintains clinical supplies and equipment.
• Resolves routine questions and problems, referring only complex issues to higher level.

Requirements:

• Degree in Nursing
•  Registration in the Register of Nurses and license to practice
•  Successful completion/holder of an ILS degree
•  Excellent knowledge of Greek and English
•  Specialization in Community Nursing will be considered an advantage

The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in the European Union/ European Economic Area.
