AMARA Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus is looking for candidates for the position of -Electicina for the Maintenance Department.

CORE JOB INFORMATION

Department : Maintenance

Working hours : Full time – 38 hours per week – 5/6 days per week

Position reports to : Chief Engineer, will be considered an additional advantage,

PROFILE

The Chief Technician will be responsible for ensuring all equipment, installations and machinery in the Hotel are kept in good working order by providing day-to-day maintenance and repairs, in the most efficient and effective manner, and following all relevant standard operating procedures; the Chief Technician will continuously work towards delivering the highest possible standards of work and service as well as maintain and/or improve department profitability.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce and manage staff and contractors work schedules,
  • Supervise and manage the work of all technicians; prioritise and organise work; assign duties; resolve issues/problems/complaints; support and motivate; assist with recruitment,
  • Ensure all relevant maintenance work, daily duties, tasks, objectives, inspections, checks and other tests and readings happen in a timely manner,
  • Train and coach team members so they develop their system knowledge and personal skills,
  • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures and legislation,
  • Monitor inventory and ensure that all supplies and other essentials are adequately stocked,
  • Assist and participate in the Hotel emergency team,
  • Address guests; maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service,

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Technical School graduate with a Degree / Diploma in any related technical fields,
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician; having worked in a similar luxury hotel/environment will be considered an additional advantage,
  • Required: approved relevant license by an appropriate authority and government accreditation,
  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering and of technical fields such as carpentry, joinery, painting, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration,
  • Good attention to detail; able to read/understand various blueprints/schematic drawings, facili-ties/equipment software and operating systems devices,
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with excellent organisation and analytical skills,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written),
  • Must speak, read, and write both Greek and English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an additional advantage.
