CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Audit & Accounting services, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Auditor to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will work as part of an established and expanding team responsible for undertaking the audit of small and medium-sized firms, on behalf of both local and international clients. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and candidates who are either Part or Fully ACA/ACCA qualified are encouraged to apply. Our client is seeking applications from candidates with approximately 3 years of previous experience in the audit field who are fluent on both verbal and written Greek and English. You will need to possess sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Audit standards (ISAs), with the willingness to further develop your skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in undertaking the audit of small and medium-sized firms, both local and international clients.
• Operate the audit software used and manage to carry out the audit testing tasks (Caseware and Caseware International).
• Process and preparation of financial statements under IFRS.
• Assist in the liaison with the clients’ accounting staff and administrators.
• Be able to review accounting procedures and systems in order to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Engaging in communication with clients and maintaining client relations regularly.
• Other miscellaneous financial duties as assigned.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of work experience in an audit position, preferably for both local and offshore clients.
• Qualified or part qualified ACA or ACCA is desirable.
• To have good knowledge of financial principles (IFRS) and Audit standards (ISAs), and willing to develop further.
• Computer literacy with excellent knowledge and experience of Outlook/Excel/Word, Caseware and Caseware International for the audit work performed.
• Fluency in both Greek and English, verbal and written, is essential.
• Team spirit, good character and motivation to develop.
• Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
