CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly regarded company operating in the iGaming sector, we are seeking to recruit a Java Technical Lead to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will form an integral part of recruiting, developing and leading a team of highly skilled software developers responsible for developing and maintaining all web-based platforms used across the company. You should be educated to degree level in Computer Science or a related field and will need to possess approximately 4+ years of proven experience working with Java, including demonstrable team leadership and/or management experience. Previous experience working with Agile software development methodologies will be considered an advantage.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• As the Tech Lead, you are expected to create a positive, collaborative working culture.
• You will lead, mentor and develop a team of talented software development professionals.
• Lead major software related projects including planning, design reviews, and technical team mentorship.
• Lead problem solving at the architecture/code/product level.
• Build POCs, and suggest technical processes, architectures, or concepts and deliver them promptly to the market.
• Learn new fields, technologies and approaches, to address the needs of a fast-growing company.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Educated to degree level in Computer Science or a related field.
• Approximately 4+ years of previous experience working with Java is essential.
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in design and system architecture.
• Previous team leadership and/or management experience is a must.
• Experience with large scale web applications and multithreaded environments.
• Experience working with databases and writing complex queries.
• Well experienced with the Spring Framework.
• Any prior experience working with technologies including Apache Kafka, Elastic, Redis, Docker and/or Kubernetes is desirable.
• Experience working with Agile frameworks is a plus.
