CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies operating in the Adult Entertainment industry, we are seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel to join their growing team based in Cyprus. As an Internal Legal Advisor you will primarily be responsible for handling various legal matters for the Group, including Corporate & Commercial Law, KYC related work, liaising with banks at an international level, as well as working closely with international law firms across multiple jurisdictions to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Law, who possess approximately 5 years of proven experience in a relevant legal role, with exposure to international legal matters. Our client has offices in both Nicosia and Limassol and can therefore accommodate applicants willing and able to work in either city.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements within a multi-jurisdictional scope.
- Advising and supporting the business on matters relating to KYC, in particular with international banks.
- Working closely with international law firms in multiple jurisdictions to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Draft various privacy policies and terms and conditions for international websites.
- Analyzing, drafting and reviewing legal agreements and other corporate documentation, such as Resolutions, Power of Attorneys, Share Certificates, Minutes, HE forms as required by the Group and its Shareholders.
- Provide adhoc legal support as required by Senior Management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Holders of an LLB or LLM.
- Members of the Cyprus Bar Association or Qualified Lawyers from other global jurisdictions are encouraged to apply.
- Approximately 5 years of previous experience in Corporate & Commercial law is a must.
- Experience with international legal matters.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Well organized and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, as required.
- Ability to use initiative and a willingness to embrace innovation and continuous improvement.
- A committed and motivated individual, eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and professionalism.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
