CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit & Accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a range of accounting and bookkeeping services to clients, including updating accounting records, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, as well as performing VAT and Tax compliance work. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field and candidates working towards the ACA or ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply. Our client is seeking applicants with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience working for a professional services firm who possess an excellent level of verbal and written English. Experience with any accounting software such as Cycom, E-soft, SAP, Caseware and/or Navision will be considered an advantage, but not essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Updating the accounting records of clients.
• Assisting clients with the preparation of financial statements.
• Performing VAT and Tax compliance work.
• Communication with clients.
• Visits to Tax/VAT/Social Insurance and other government offices to complete simple assignments.

Key Skills/Experience:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field is highly desirable (please provide academic grades on CV).
• Candidates working towards the ACA or ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply.
• A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a professional services firm is a must.
• Excellent command of the English Language (verbal/written).
• Knowledge of an additional language (Greek/Russian etc.) will be considered an advantage.
• Good analytical and time management skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications
• Experience with any accounting software (Cycom/Esoft/SAP/Caseware/Navision) will be considered an advantage.
• Good communication skills for internal and external reporting/communication.
