CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a regulated Investment Firm with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Payments Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. Reporting to the Head of Payments, the successful applicant will primarily be responsible for assisting clients with any inquiries and/or issues they may face, including providing information regarding their payments and/or financial balances. An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a similar field is desirable, and you will need to possess some previous experience in a relevant payments role, ideally working for a Forex and/or Payment Service Provider (PSP). This role requires the candidate to work to rotational 24/5 shift-patterns.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with any inquiry and provide the relevant information regarding their payments or financial balances.
- Process financial transactions of the customer such as deposits, withdrawals and/or credits.
- Post financial transactions into the various systems used by the company.
- Monitor the various Clients’ bank accounts for both incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Troubleshoot any issue arising from the automation of the financial transactions and liaising with the relevant department either internally or externally to resolve it.
- Process customers’ bonuses.
- Enter and keep updating customers’ financial information in the company’s records and systems.
- Keep accurate records as these are required from time to time.
- Generate various reports regarding number of accounts, financial transactions, etc...
- Liaising with various departments and solving the various issues that arise during daily operations.
- Maintain the smooth operations of the integrated payment services.
- Communicate with the various payment service providers in case of tech issues or missing transactions.
- Monitor the several communication channels and respond in due time to both internal and external messages.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics Business Administration or another relevant field is desirable.
- Previous experience in a payments-related role, ideally gained working for a Forex and/or Payment Service Provider (PSP) is essential.
- Excellent oral and written command of the English language.
- Good knowledge of Office 365.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work to 24/5 rotational shifts.
