Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Roots Preschool. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Key Teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our preschoolers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Key teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Assist with classroom setup and maintenance, including preparing materials and resources.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development.
• Help with daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and outdoor play.
• Collaborate with the Key teacher and team members to create a positive and dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education coursework or degree preferred.
• Prior experience working with preschool-age children is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for working with young children and helping them learn and grow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
