The Media Operations Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support of Vubiquity’s content delivery workflows including content ingestion & processing, queue management, error resolution and on-time delivery.

What will your job look like?

  • Work cross-functionally with Account Managers, Encoding, NOC, and IT divisions to ensure smooth transmission of assets fulfilling client requirements.

  • Monitor Provider Delivery folders (Signiant, Aspera) to ensure data transfers are successful.

  • Problem-solving trafficking and processing issues under strict deadlines. Escalate them through JIRA.

  • Point of contact to obtain metadata and media files (video files and artwork).

  • Implement customer requests for Metadata and Site-specific updates.

  • Clear Ingestion and Fatal errors and Identify issues that may have caused ingestion failure.

  • Create categories for VOD menus to affiliates.

  • Monitor processing and transmission queues and track content with SLA requirements.

  • Create daily High priority content reports that are widely distributed in the company.

  • Missing Asset report

  • Identifying issues re deliveries of identified content to all affiliates on profile

  • Proactively escalate assets that might cause a miss in our SLA Requirement.

  • Create documentation for the department on workflows and processes.

  • Provide day-to-day operational and customer support to content Providers.

  • Media Trafficking

  • Create Jira tickets to generate tasks for the Encoding team

  • Additional responsibilities as needed

All you need is...

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of industry-related experience

  • Experience related to Digital Media Servicing

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills to effectively work and communicate with internal teams and external customers

  • Professional written/verbal communication skills, both internally and externally with customers.

  • Quick learner and detail-oriented; critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Cable Labs and Direct-To-Consumer and/or OTT VOD knowledge is a plus

  • Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and/or JIRA ticketing system a plus

  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
