The University of Limassol, the proud successor of Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), an innovative business school in Cyprus, and an equal opportunity employer, invites applications for the position of Events Organizer and Marketing Support.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Organization of Events: Plan and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, open days (local and international), social events, career days, public lectures, and gala events.
  2. Participation in Academic Fairs: Represent the university at academic fairs and exhibitions both in Cyprus and abroad.
  3. Marketing Assistance: Collaborate with the Marketing team in developing and implementing marketing plans.
  4. Logistical Management: Handle all logistical aspects of events, including venue coordination, managing event contractors, and liaising with suppliers.
  5. Cost-Benefit Analysis: Prepare cost-benefit analyses for events to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  6. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external partners for successful event execution.
  7. Event Calendar: Prepare and maintain a calendar of events for efficient planning and communication.
  8. Promotional Material: Collaborate with associates to create promotional material, such as announcements, social media posts, and website updates.
  9. Media Production: Organize photo shoots and video productions to support marketing efforts.
  10. Assessment Reports: Provide assessment reports for major events to evaluate their impact and effectiveness.
  11. Sponsorship and Collaborations: Identify opportunities for sponsorships and collaborations to enhance event quality.
  12. Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the university's events remain innovative and relevant.
  13. Marketing Department Support: Provide daily support to the Marketing Director and Marketing department.
  14. Objective Alignment: Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Marketing team members to ensure departmental objectives are met.
  15. Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor as necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) in Events Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning, budgeting, organizing, promoting, and executing events.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the education industry is advantageous.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Integrity, creativity, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both Greek and English languages.
