Part-time faculty positions at the University of Limassol

The University of Limassol (www.uol.ac.cy) is seeking to fill part-time faculty positions such as visiting faculty and special teaching faculty to teach a number of graduate courses, listed below, using the modular system of course delivery.

The University of Limassolis the evolution of the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), a renowned graduate business school operating since 1990. The University starts operations with the CIIM Business School, the Technology and Innovation School, and the Economics and Finance School. UoL’s mission is to provide an inspiring teaching and learning environment that motivates students to explore, challenge, create, and lead. An equally important mission of UoL is to generate and disseminate new knowledge through frontier research and innovation contributing to the solution of social problems and advancement of sustainable development for humanity.

UoL has inherited from CIIM and perfected ten graduate programs including its flagship MBA and nine specialized Master of Science programs and, in addition, it offers three undergraduate programs of exceptional quality: Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Economics.

The University of Limassol is seeking to fill part-time faculty positions to teach the following courses for its Graduate Programs (modular system of delivery). Unless it is indicated otherwise, all courses are taught face-to-face, during evenings and Saturdays.

Terms and conditions:

Upon employment, the selected applicants must be able to teach one or more courses in Limassol or/and Nicosia campuses of the University, follow the learning and teaching processes of the University of Limassol. All in-person graduate (Master’s) programs of UoL follow the modular system of course delivery: Depending on size courses are taught over 4-8 evenings (6:30-10:00pm) and 1-2 Saturdays (9:00-5:00pm). UoL instructors must:

• Follow the teaching & learning model set by UoL to deliver the curriculum
• Support and advise students attending their course(s) in their education
• Collaborate with all departments of UoL that have an impact on students’ learning experience and the curriculum delivery
• Set up assessments of student performance
• Grade promptly students’ exams and assignments

Benefits:

• This is a paid appointment
• Remuneration will be paid by hour of teaching. The rate will depend on qualifications and experience
• The positions are for a fixed period of time depending on successful candidates’ availability

Qualifications required:

• Doctorate degree in the relevant discipline/s (or equivalent qualifications)
• Two-years minimum relevant teaching experience. Evidence of effective teaching in English (except for instructors of courses in Greek)
