Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our client, a leading International Audit & Accounting firm in Nicosia, are currently looking for a Executive / Assistant Compliance Officer. Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual AML and other reports
  • Participate in compliance advisory client work
  • Review existing and new applicable regulations, assess their impact on office operations, and provide recommendations
  • Draft and revise company policies and manual to reflect the applicable law and /or regulatory requirements and any changes thereof
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure procedures align with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee compliance procedures and provide risk management advice
  • Assist in training and educating staff on compliance functions and obligations
  • Manage the client onboarding process
  • Observe and review of KYC records as to completeness, including verifying that due diligence has been performed and that files and risk assessments are current and up to date.
  • Conduct daily client reviews and inspections to evaluate the Company's compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Monitor and assess the correct and effective implementation of policies, practices, measures, procedures, controls, and the risk management and procedures manual
  • Identify, document, and evaluate risks associated with both existing and new customers, and update the Company's systems and procedures accordingly
  • Perform any other relevant duties assigned to benefit the firm

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally within a professional service or financial services environment, with at least 3 years in an AML role
  • University Degree in Law/Economics/Finance or a member of ACCA/ICAEW
  • CySEC/ICPAC/ACAMS certification be considered as an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of the regulatory regime, industry practices and professional standards
  • Excellent research skills and ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory information
  • Dynamic and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Be self-motivated and maintain a disciplined approach to work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrating initiative and flexibility
  • Computer literacy
  • Fluency in Greek and English
