PASCAL Private English School Lefkosia is actively seeking a dynamic and passionate full-time Maths Teacher to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively planning and delivering lessons in accordance with the relevant schemes of learning.
• Safeguarding the health and well-being of students
• Fostering academic excellence and equal opportunities for students of all levels
• Promoting literacy and numeracy across the curriculum
• Regularly checking for homework completion
• Tactfully dealing with behavioral issues in accordance with the school’s behavior policy
• Updating attendance registers and progress records
• Engaging in oral and written dialogues with parents/guardians/careers to provide feedback about their child’s progress.
• Carrying out the Form Teacher’s duties such as ensuring good conduct of students in their Form Class and assisting in promoting good order in the school, as well as providing pastoral care.
• Undertaking break and substitution duties
• Participating in, promoting and contributing to school clubs, activities and events
• Attending staff, departmental and other meetings
• Attending staff training seminars
• Adhering to all school and trust policies, procedures and practices, including health and safety, equal opportunities, behavior management and data protection.
• Promoting the school in a positive light to the wider community
• Keeping up-to-date with current educational policies and practices
• Undertaking other duties assigned by school leaders which are in line with the position but are not stated herein.
  

Requirements:

• Degree held in Maths, which is recognized by The Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S.).
• Oral and written proficiency in the English language
• Enthusiasm for teaching of their subject to provide a broad and balanced education
• Well-organized to create schemes of learning and deliver engaging lessons
• Ability to inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures within a school setting
• Ability to use a positive approach to promote learning and excellent behavior
• Capability to effectively and fairly assess students’ progress
• Ability to keep accurate records and communicate effectively
• Open-minded, self-evaluative and adaptable to changing circumstances and new ideas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to fostering a multicultural and inclusive learning environment
