CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of complex and cutting-edge technology solutions, we are seeking to recruit a bright and ambitious Junior Hardware QA & Support Engineer to join their team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will ideally hold a relevant academic background in either Telecommunications, Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or a related field and will be willing to learn and develop within a fast-paced and challenging role. Previous experience in a similar position is highly desirable, but not essential.

Role Overview:
As a Junior Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer, the successful candidate will execute test cases to ensure that solutions meet the highest standards of quality both on component and system level during production at the company's premises.

After delivery of the system to the client, the candidate may be required to travel internationally to the client premises for onsite support during deployment or in case of hardware and system failures. The candidate may be required to offer remote hardware support outside of standard working hours. The candidate will be able to work under high pressure and have an eye for detail regarding electronic troubleshooting, system level testing and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Minimum education level: Telecommunications Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Equivalent.
• Ability to debug failures in a system to rapidly identify the root cause.
• Solid knowledge of telecommunications and networking.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and block diagrams of our systems.
• Strong knowledge of general quality control procedures and methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
• High interpersonal skills, independent & self-reliant character with good initiative.
• Experience in the following fields: Technical pre-sale, Customer Facing, conducting technical training.
• Consistent ability to deliver on time and work under pressure.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of basic Linux commands is a plus.
• Telco or Wireless Communications experience with GSM, UMTS, LTE is a plus.
• Knowledge of foreign languages will be considered as an advantage.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Prior experience using Electrical or RF Lab equipment is not essential but useful.
• LabView experience.
• Be a holder of an EU Passport.
• Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
