What to expect of your role:

Our legal department is expanding and we are in search of Intellectual Property Counsel to join our team. In this role, under the supervision of Head of Legal and Compliance, you will be responsible for addressing the unauthorized use of company's intellectual property and combating phishing activities.

You will be expected to:

  • Drafting and preparing legal documents, including phishing complaints, trademark complaints, cease and desist letters, and related correspondenceConducting thorough legal research to ensure the accuracy and relevance of complaints, staying informed about relevant laws, regulations, and precedents;
  • Providing legal advice and guidance on matters related to phishing, trademark infringement, and intellectual property protection;
  • Monitoring and managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, identifying potential infringements, and taking appropriate legal actions;
  • Representing the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and settlements related to phishing and trademark issues;
  • Maintaining awareness of emerging legal trends and industry best practices to enhance the company's legal strategies;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate legal risks and protect the organization's intellectual property rights.

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • Experience in intellectual property law and online security;
  • Proven track record of successfully handling legal matters related to phishing websites and intellectual property infringements;
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to intellectual property and online security;
  • Fluent English;
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Law.
