The Client:

On behalf of our Client, a top-rated professional services firm who offers Fiduciary, Accounting, Tax and Advisory services, we are actively looking to recruit an Assistant Manager/Manager of the Corporate Department for their offices in Nicosia.

The Position:

The Assistant Manager/Manager shall be responsible for the day-to-day management and corporate work of a portfolio of Cyprus companies, Cyprus International Trusts, as well as companies incorporated in other jurisdictions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) General

  • Managing a team comprising of lawyer/(s) and / or corporate administrator/(s)

  • Responsible for the portfolio’s corporate budget and invoicing

  • Supporting the assigned Client Relationship Director/(s) as to the corporate/legal compliance of the assigned portfolio

  • Assisting with the incorporation and day-to-day management of legal entities and assisting the Board of Directors with their corporate responsibilities and other duties

  • Review and preparation of various corporate documents. etc

  • Liaising with clients, other professional advisers and public / regulatory authorities, as and when required

  • Assisting clients with matters relating to agreements, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, trusts, etc. and overall matters relating to the above-mentioned

  • Carrying out any other duties and responsibilities that may be deemed necessary by the Management of the Firm

2) Compliance

  • Working closely with the Compliance Department for AML and KYC matters including implementation of pertinent procedures

  • Assisting with client due diligence for corporate and trust structures (including the reviewing and processing of KYC documentation)

  • Assisting with transactional compliance matters

  • Ensuring compliance of various legal entities with applicable AML and Data Protection laws / regulations / directives, best corporate practices and internal regulations

  • Communicating with the clients and associates on a regular basis on matters relevant to the above

3) Customer Support

  • Communicating with clients to receive or provide information required to complete all necessary work

  • Providing timely and quality service to client

4) Reporting

  • Preparing reports for the Management team or the Corporate Department, as those may be assigned from time to time

Skills/ Qualifications / Experience:

  • University Degree in Law (LLB)

  • Cyprus Bar Exams (or similar qualifications) and LLM in Corporate / Commercial Law shall be considered an advantage

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Fluent business level both in Greek and English

  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Professional attitude and appropriate work ethic
