CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Controller to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful applicant will oversee the accounting control of a number of subsidiaries within the Group, including general accounting, cash flow monitoring and projections, as well as Management reporting. You will also be responsible for overseeing general accounting and finance at a Group Holding level. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another closely related field, and any additional accounting qualifications/certifications will be considered an advantage, but not essential. You will need to possess proven experience in a similar controlling role, with a strong understanding of accounting systems, cashflows and reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must. Our client offers a highly competitive salary to the successful applicant, as well as some flexibility with working hours. This is an onsite position, with offices based in Nicosia. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Keeping control and delivering assistance to various production entities.
• Oversee and monitor cashflows for several groups of holding companies.
• Handle payments and transfers according to cashflows.
• Responsible for internal reporting of dividends between different levels of companies in one or more Groups.
• Responsible for other internal reporting systems.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another closely related field.
• Any relevant accounting qualifications/certifications will be considered an advantage, but not essential.
• Proven experience in a relevant controlling role is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting systems, cashflows and reporting systems
• Experience working with spreadsheets and handling large volumes of financial information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must; any knowledge of either Spanish or Portuguese will be considered a plus.
• Ability to work well independently, and as part of a Team.
