We are seeking skilled and passionate individuals to join our kitchen team as Cooks. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of high-quality dishes, contributing to the overall success of our culinary offerings. We are looking for candidates with culinary expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and quality of all dishes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking and frying.
  • Easily adapt to different cuisines and menu requirements.
  • Collaborate with the chef to contribute ideas for menu development and improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Efficiently manage prep work and ensure timely execution during peak hours.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Assist in placing orders and controlling costs to minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes to meet established standards.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

  • A culinary degree or equivalent training from culinary school is essential.
  • Prior experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
  • Excellent food-handling skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality foods and ingredients.
  • Good planning, organizational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of hygiene, health & safety and licensing regulations.
  • Positive attitude, team player, ability to work under pressure, hard working.
