An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Manufacturing Industry. Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client a global electrical protection and connectivity solutions company, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Production Supervisor to join their expanding team based in Dali, Nicosia.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise various assembly operations for subassemblies and products
- Oversee electrical and mechanical assembly of parts and components
- Set up and review assembly procedures to enhance quality and efficiency
- Schedule assignments and provide technical guidance to subordinate assemblers
- Evaluate the performance of subordinate level workers
- Conduct time studies to optimize production processes
- Input data into the Production quality database system
- Ensure documentation, such as production drawings and BOMs, is accurate and understood
- Perform assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies
- Address equipment needs for the production line
- Handle in-process issues and troubleshoot as necessary
- Train new employees and assist with facility layout and workflow
- Support the implementation of ISO standards (9000, 14000, 18000)
- Organize and administer working schedules and leaves in coordination with the HR department.
- Stay informed about and comply with Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Information Security policies, regulations, and management system requirements
- Uphold high-quality standards in all duties and ensure subordinates act accordingly
Requirements:
- Technical Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Production or Manufacturing engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in assembly and manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 will be considered an advantage
- Able to work in a team, be transparent and have a results driven personality
- Excellent written and verbal Greek and English
- Computer Literate
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- You must be able to live and work freely in the EU
