CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Online Media & Marketing services predominantly to the iGaming sector, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful applicant will handle a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties to help facilitate the smooth running of the Finance Department. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in either Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or another closely related field, who possess approximately 2 years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, and any previous experience working with Oracle will be considered a plus, but not essential. Our client offers a competitive salary and remuneration package based on skills and experience, including a 13th salary. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Updating accounting and bookkeeping records daily.
• Bank account reconciliations.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Debtors/Creditors reconciliations.
• Uploading the payments for our suppliers.
• Liaising with the company’s auditors.
• Undertaking any other related duties.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or another closely related field will be considered an advantage.
• Holders of the LCCI Higher or any other accounting qualification/certification are encouraged to apply.
• Approximately 2 years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role is essential.
• Fluency in verbal and written English is a must.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with Oracle will be considered as an advantage, but not essential.
