The Client:
On behalf of our Client, a Banking Institution in Nicosia, we are currently seeking to recruit a professional for the position of Senior Workout Relationship Officer.
The Position:
The successful candidate will managing a portfolio of retail and corporate customers with arrears/excesses and or financial difficulties who are viable and cooperative as well as a portfolio of distressed accounts, with the overall aim to decrease the % of the arrears/excesses. At the same time, will offer viable restructuring solutions to cooperative customers bearing in mind the customer’s financial circumstances, the relevant legislation and the credit policies and procedures of the Bank and will manage the relationship with the customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The succesfull candidate will be reporting to the Head Arrears Management Unit (AMU) and will have the following responsibilities:
Managing a portfolio of retail and corporate customers with arrears/excesses and or financial difficulties who are viable and cooperative.
Contributing to the decrease the % of the arrears/excesses of the Bank’s portfolio.
Preparing and sending relevant notice letters to all the parties involved.
Communicating and arranging meeting with customers with facilities in arrears.
Evaluating applicants’ credit worthiness, by analysing their financial status, credit ability and property valuations, and determining the feasibility of a potential restructuring proposal.
Preparing well-documented mainly corporate customers restructuring facilities and to a lesser extend retail customers restructuring facilities in a timely and accurate manner, and referring applications to management for approval.
Preparing and submitting final proposal to customers, based on the AMU Procedures Policies and Strategy of the Bank.
Executing loans upon approval (e.g. reviewing legal documents before implementation, making payments and monitoring repayment of the loan)
Accurately administering all arrears/excesses data and keeping track of additional relevant information concerning arrears/excesses.
Monitoring progress of cases and providing data, preparing updates, internal reports and reports to CBC.
Providing exceptional levels of a personalized customer service aligned with the Bank’s values
Identifying areas of improvement and submitting suggestions to the Head of AMU
Collecting KYC information
Performing Customer Due Diligence
Updating customer profiles
Performing alert reviews
Complying with internal policies, practices and procedures (e.g. regarding compliance, anti-money laundering, information security, risk, health and safety and human resources)
Adhering to local and international regulatory requirements (e.g. of the Central Information Register for the Issuers of Dishonoured Cheques, for managing cheques, confirmations, as well as updating customer information)
Identifying and reporting any discrepancies/cases of non-compliance to the appropriate person
Being actively involved in the testing of the banking system
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the management
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
University Degree in Economics, Accounting & Finance, or any other related discipline and/or
Holder of a Professional Accounting Qualification such as Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Accountant (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is consider an advantage
Post graduate University Degree with specialisation in Finance, Accounting or related subject is considered an advantage
7-10 years of relevant experience in an AMU department of which at least 5 years in the handling of corporate accounts
Strong Financial Analysis, Communication and Negatiation skills.
Planning, Organization and time management
Sound judgement and decision making
Problem solving, Attention to detail and Results oriented skills
Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
Arrears Management Directive of CBC
Relevant local and international regulatory requirements
Computer literacy, with very good knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel, Power Point)
