THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a leading Company operating in the Oil & Gas sector, we seek to recruit on a 12- month fixed term contract, an energetic and high calibre professional for the position of Supply Chain Officer, to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible to execute the Company’s P/SCM's contracting process. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

  • Select the appropriate contracting strategy, develop scopes of work, compensation structure, and contracting vehicle (e.g. Contract, Purchase Order, P-card) to effectively manage business risk
  • Provide expertise in all phases of contracting (Supplier Qualification, Contract Compensation and Enablement, Contract Formulation and Post Award Contract Management). This includes developing scopes of work, identifying contracting strategy, identifying viable/suitable potential service providers, supplier qualification, bidding, eProcurement tools expertise, bid evaluation, claims mitigation, contract execution, and contract management
  • Identify and qualify potential material and service providers, as well as oversee bidding, bid evaluation and contract award
  • Prepare contract terms and conditions for medium risk/value contracts for in-country and international arena using approved contract models; understand and educate business owners on the implications in the contracting process at an intermediate level
  • Prepare bid packages for new tenders; create and apply evaluation criteria
  • Review scope of work for medium risk/value contracts and identify and address gaps
  • Handle supplier qualification and risk management for medium risk/value contracts and provide guidance to less experienced contracting professionals on documentation required
  • Work closely with Legal and Subject Matter Experts to ensure contract compliance through the contract life-cycle (contract planning, execution, post award management and claims mitigation)
  • Develop and improve BU contracting processes
  • Provide guidance to BU contract owners in contracting policy, process, procedures, guidelines and best practices for medium risk/value contracts
  • Understand and execute drilling inventory management
  • Support cycle counts and other materials management tasks
  • Implement and maintain best practices and procedures to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions that may impact supply chain operations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or in any other related field
  • At least five (5) years of proven experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and business orientation
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer literacy with Microsoft Office skills
