ANALYSTS POSITIONS (CYBER SECURITY)
The Cyprus Research and Academic Network (CYNET) is pleased to announce that it has secured funding from the European Commission for the Development of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team for Academic and Research Bodies in cooperation with the Digital Security Authority in Cyprus. The CYNETCERT team will add value to the existing national CY-CSIRT, which concerns the critical infrastructure of the Central Government of Cyprus, by setting up an equivalent counter-attacking group dealing with educational and research bodies. In order to support its team, CYNET-CERT is seeking two analysts.

1. Duties and Responsibilities

• Reports and performs her/his duties under the instructions of the Head of CYNET-CERT.
• Carries out all work on CERT operation/services assigned to him/her by the head of CYNET-CERT.
• Manages / coordinates actions on security incidents and registers security incidents forwarded to CYNET-CERT
• Investigates incidents filed by CYNET-CERT related to risk and safety
• Supports CYNET-CERT user service teams in restoring infrastructure and services after catastrophic
  events
• Prepares reports on all incidents filed by CYNET-CERT
• Prepares training material, information material and technical manuals
• Informs / trains CYNET-CERT staff
• Has knowledge and complies with all CYNET-CERT operating procedures
• Collects information on security incidents and electronic evidence
• Performs any other duties assigned to her/him
• Work around a flexible schedule when needed

2. Academic-Professional Qualifications / Work Experience

• First degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or other related fields
• Professional certification in areas related such as CCNA Security, COMPTIA Security +, SSCP, CEH, or equivalent, will be considered an advantage
• Experience in relevant fields (ICT) will be considered an advantage
• Postgraduate in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Electronic Engineering/Telecommunications or other related disciplines will be considered an advantage
• Very good knowledge of Greek and English language
• Good presentation skills

• Able to perform under pressure

The salary range is between €1850 and €2350 and will be determined based on experience. Contract is for 15 months and may be renewed.
