CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most well-known and highly regarded Law Firms with expanding operations in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance Assistant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for supporting the Compliance Officer with the full handling of KYC collections, risk assessments and all documentation checks, in line with Cyprus Bar regulations. As a Compliance Assistant, you will conduct regulatory compliance assessments, analyze data, prepare regulatory reports, and maintain compliance documents and records. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Law or another relevant field, who possess approximately 3+ years of previous experience in AML regulatory compliance, ideally gained working for either a Law Firm, Corporate Service Provider or Financial Institution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek are a must. Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday and from 08:00 to 14:30 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program.
• Assist in the creation of sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
• Draft and revise company policies and manual to reflect the applicable law and/or regulatory requirements and any changes thereof, and regularly update and train colleagues on internal procedures.
• Monitor all KYC records as to completeness, including verifying that due diligence has been performed and that files and risk assessments are current and up to date.
• Communicate with clients and execute business instructions.
• Collaborate and communicate with regulating bodies to be constantly up to date.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• An academic background in Law or any other relevant field is highly desirable.
• Members of the Cyprus Bar Association and/or holders of the any relevant AML certifications are encouraged to apply.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in in AML regulatory compliance, ideally gained working within a Law Firm, Corporate Services Provider or Financial Institution.
• Integrity and professional ethics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Greek and English.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
