CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and expanding company operating in the Financial Services sector, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful candidate will primarily handle journal posting, data entry, invoicing, receipt issuance, and receivable/payable postings and reconciliations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields and who possess approximately 2+ years of previous experience in a relevant Accounting/Finance role with sound knowledge of accounting/tax/VAT and related principles. Experience with other financial systems and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Our client offers a highly attractive remuneration and benefits package which includes Medical Insurance coverage upon completion of the probation period, lunch allowance, and flexible working hours including Hybrid model. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Journal Posting and data entry.
  • Issue of invoices, receipts etc.
  • Receivable and payable postings and reconciliations.
  • Weekly/monthly ad-hoc finance report assistance.
  • Bank records and reconciliations.
  • Assist in financial related matters including but not limited to the year-end closings and audit process.
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Assist with other accounting projects.
  • Any other related duties as required.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
  • Good knowledge of accounting/tax/VAT and related principles.
  • Excellent command of English (both verbal & written).
  • Advanced skills of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with other financial systems.
  • Great attention to detail, punctual, dynamic, self – driven and highly analytical professional.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines.
