About the position

We are looking to expand our team in the field of IT infrastructure. As a managed service provider, our main goal is to design and implement the best solutions, based on our client’s needs, as well as supporting new and existing infrastructure projects.

We are currently recruiting for an IT infrastructure engineer, with a focus on Server, Storage and Systems setup and operations. Our ideal candidate will need to have strong foundations in IT infrastructure, with a wide understanding of the complete architecture of a company’s infrastructure.

The role will include the design, implementation and support of IT infrastructure projects, as well as the support and maintenance of existing client infrastructure. The candidate will work in parallel with other teams in our company, to provide timely and appropriate solutions to various cases.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain client infrastructure, including regular security and feature updates.

• Respond to incidents that occur on client infrastructure.

• Assist other company departments in incident resolution (e.g. Networking team)

• Participate in projects for new Infrastructure Services

• Implement and support data centre Infrastructure, with target on improved performance, utilization, availability and security whilst controlling costs.

• Drive innovation to drive adoption of new technologies.

• Participate in Capacity and Performance planning.

Required Skis and Qualifications:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to think outside the box, to provide solutions.
• Proficiency in English and Greek Language, for both written and verbal communication.
• Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate across teams to fast forward incident resolutions.
• Good knowledge of Operating systems, including but not limited to:
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft Windows 10 / 11 workstation Operating system
  • Linux based Server OS
  • Linux based client OS
• Experience in supporting physical Datacentres (Hardware, O/S and physical networks)
• Experience with VMWare virtualisation, including setup and maintenance of clusters.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server as Virtualization infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Active directory environments, including hybrid deployments with Azure Entra ID
• Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Cloud platform, Including Azure environment and Microsoft 365 products.
• Good knowledge and understanding of networking interconnections in terms of Network segregation, for communication with Server Infrastructure, as well as Storage networks.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• On-Point approach to incidents and requests.

Additional skills and qualifications that will be considered as an advantage:

• Microsoft Cloud certifications including Microsoft 365 platform
• VMWARE certifications
• Knowledge of IP telephony
  • Asterisk based PBX
  • 3CX IP PBX
  • Freeswitch
