Thanos Hotels & Resorts are currently seeking to recruit a Bar Manager foror Annabelle Hotel.

Job Role

  • To direct, control and plan all bar/beverage-related activities throughout the hotel
  • Provide direction, inspiration and guidance to team members
  • To manage the bar service within the Hotel and ensure that customers are served promptly & courteously, in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures and hygiene and safety regulations of Thanos Hotels
  • To supervise and lead the department, in order to meet the required standards and exceed all customer expectations

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Smooth and organized running of the Bars
  • Supervise and co-ordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet set-ups and service
  • Achieve financial goals in revenue, expenses and profits
  • Set objectives and targets for beverage unit/bars
  • Prepare staff schedules, taking into consideration the quality of the service and maintaining labour costs
  • Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources
  • Identify training and development needs for staff
  • Maintain excellent communication with all staff and other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals
  • Manage staff performance and conduct performance appraisals
  • Stay updated with the international F&B trends and make appropriate suggestions to the Food and Beverage Manager
  • Supervise the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards
  • Implement improvements for products and service
  • Assist in menu planning and pricing
  • Manage and order supplies and beverages
  • Comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • Comply and communicate company policies, standards and procedures to staff and ensure that they are implemented
  • Ensure duties are carried out in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the F&B Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar position at a 5* Hotel
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or hospitality related qualification, will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Greek.
  • Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
  • ​Computer Literate
  • To be quality driven and critical of all aspects of the food and beverage operation in order to guarantee the highest level of creativity and productivity within the organization
  • Must be a caring personality that shows empathy and understanding
  • Commitment to learning & self-development
  • Promotes cooperation & commitment within a team
  • Inspiring and motivating others while being caring and understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in handling staff relations and/or guest complaints
