We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed System Engineer to join our dynamic team at HFM.
Your role at HFM:
- Design, implement, and manage IT systems across the organization, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes.
- Automate routine server maintenance tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python and powershell.
- Proactively monitor system health, responding to incidents, and performing root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
- Work collaboratively with the Infra team and development teams to integrate automation solutions into existing and new systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Install, configure, and maintain various Linux distributions, ensuring system stability, security, and performance.
- Install and configure hypervisor on physical servers, ensuring the hardware compatibility and optimal settings for performance and security.
- Create, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs) tailored to meet specific operational needs and performance criteria.
- Monitor and maintain the health and security of the domain controllers to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings and configurations across the network.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain a clear and accurate IT infrastructure overview.
What You Bring:
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in systems Position, with a proven track record in managing IT systems and infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef) would be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP) and services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
EU/EFTA citizens OR holders of a Cyprus work permit OR foreign nationals married to an EU citizen.
