Job Description:Sigma Bakeries seeks to employ a Human Resources (HR) Manager to spearhead the changing nature of its workforce and further its objective to raise employee and employment standards. The successful applicant should have prior experience in Human Resources and Recruitment and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of HR policies and procedures. As Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for planning, organising, directing and controlling all operations of the Human Resources Department within the parameters of the company’s objectives. We are looking for a candidate who easily connects with and inspires people with a detail-oriented, organisational mindset, able to handle the development, implementation and refinement of new systems and standards.
Role Objectives:
Improving customer service standards and work ethics by establishing and conducting orientation, training and evaluation programs.
Reducing turnover by implementing and enhancing benefit, compensation and rewards systems, work opportunities and promotions.
Improving the working environment and raise awareness of risk factors by building an Ergonomics Team.
Working in harmony with all team leaders, managers and partners to resolve operating issues within the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring work schedule – shifts, working hours, annual leave, sick leave, absence, overtime – and keeping systematic, accurate digital records.
Supporting departments and stores in implementing and maintaining developed systems according to strategic plans fitting with the overall business direction.
Emphasising the role of the employee in achieving the overall vision of the company.
Handling confidential matters with absolute discretion.
Attaining set performance goals ensuring HR processes are updated and of a high standard, and recommending policies and procedures.
Maintaining contact with employees, planning, monitoring and appraising activities, hearing and resolving employee grievances, training and counselling managers in effective leadership, management, training and discipline of employees.
Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a Human Resources management position
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
Good command of English and Greek
High interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Exceptional communication (written and spoken), administrative and team-building skills
Adept in conflict resolution and problem-solving
Advanced knowledge of MS office and familiarity with HR software packages
Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and systems
Ability to work under pressure independently
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of Labour laws, regulations and standards
Experience of working in human resources or recruitment in the Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage Industries
