Demstar Business Solutions Ltd, a well-established provider of technology solutions and services in Cyprus, is seeking a talented Networking & Security Support Engineer to join their high-caliber professional team in Nicosia.

The successful candidate will become a member of the Networking and Security Team and will be dealing with the IT Networking & Security Solutions promoted by the company, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of such solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Be a member of the Networking & Security team, under the supervision of the Team’s Leader
• Implementing and supporting IT networking and security solutions
• Collaborating with the Engineering Manager, Networking & Security Team Leader, and team members to address N&S projects and support tasks
• Working as a member of the Networking & Security Engineering Team, having the responsibility of addressing and processing the daily support calls from our customers, providing support services, resolving problems, and providing solutions to customer calls
• Contributing positively to the working environment by showing a creative team culture
• Be positive to follow continuous training and development path, contributing to the achievement of partner-specific and networking /security-related professional certifications
• Participating in the study and evaluation of new networking and security-related products and solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve networking and security issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients
• Troubleshooting and support knowledge for wireless solutions is highly desirable
• Monitor networking performance and security alerts, taking proactive measures to prevent potential issues
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, both on-site and remotely, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in networking and security solutions

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Engineering, IT Networks & Security, or in any Information Technology related field
• Holder of at least one network-related certification like CCNA is highly desirable
• Knowledge or even basic experience with networking & security vendors like HPE Aruba, Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto will be considered an advantage
• Experience or at least basic knowledge of the below is required:
  • Network Protocols (such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP)
  • Operating Systems
  • Security Tools and Solutions
  • Cisco Switches and Routers
  • Aruba Switches and Wireless
  • Firewall solutions implementation & support
  • Proficiency in networking troubleshooting tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness for continuous learning and personal development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English languages

Remuneration

A very attractive and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and applicable experience including:

• Annual Gross Salary up to €30.000 per annum (payable in 13 salaries)
• Discretionary yearly bonus based on personal and the company’s performance
• Provident Fund with a profit-sharing deposit every year subject to annual profitability results
• Working hours 8:15 – 17:30 (Monday – Thursday) and 8:15 – 13:00 on Fridays
