CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and boutique provider of Professional Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Senior Client Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records on behalf of a portfolio of Cyprus registered entities, including the preparation and submission of VAT and VIES, the preparation of payroll, as well as assisting with the preparation of regular management accounts. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, or those who hold the LCCI Higher, or working towards the ACCA qualification. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of relevant professional experience, be fluent in both Greek and English, and be familiar with accounting software. Our client offers an attractive remuneration package based on skills and experience. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining the accounting records for a portfolio of Cyprus Entities.
• Prepare and submit VAT and VIES compliance on a quarterly/monthly basis.
• Liaise with banks and interact with auditors on the annual audit of the Companies.
• Liaise with company administrators in Cyprus and/or abroad for obtaining financial and legal information for Entities.
• Posting of income, expenses, banks accounts, including bank reconciliations.
• Reconciliation of debtors and payables.
• Assist with the preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare monthly payroll for clients.
• Prepare the documentation for registering a company and its employees with the Social Insurance Department, SISNET online system, and complete the monthly online Social Insurance Payroll Forms.
• Registering clients with the Tax Department online systems, Taxisnet, Tax For All and obtaining Tax Identification Codes for VAT and Income Tax purposes.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University graduate preferably in Accounting and/or holder of LCCI Higher and/or ACCA student or a combination of these.
• Approximately 3+ years experience in a similar position is essential.
• Knowledge of local regulatory framework for Tax, VAT and Social Insurance.
• Computer literate in one local Accounting Software to the level of an experienced user.
• Strong knowledge of the Greek and English languages.
• Ability to organise time and priorities showing initiative particularly in contacting client and obtaining relevant information.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
