CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a specialist Consulting company offering administrative support services, primarily within the Cryptocurrency and Digital Asset industries, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Legal to join their newly established team based in Limassol. As the Head of Legal, you will primarily be responsible for drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements, software agreements, and licensing agreements, as well as conducting legal research and analysis to guide emerging legal issues and regulatory changes affecting company operations. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who possess proven experience in a relevant role, with excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Any previous experience working in the Crypto and/or Digital Assets industries will be considered a significant advantage, but not essential. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Draft and review a wide range of commercial agreements, software agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks, including regulatory, operational, and contractual risks.
• Oversee the resolution of legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, or negotiation with counterparties.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to guide emerging legal issues and regulatory changes affecting company operations.
• Develop and enforce internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and risk management.
• Responsible for managing communication, budget, and process with external law firms in different jurisdictions.
• Review, in conjunction with the Head of Compliance terms of service, privacy policies, etc…

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Educated to degree level in Law.
• A Qualified Lawyer.
• Extensive legal experience ideally gained working in a regulated environment.
• Proven experience drafting and reviewing a wide range of agreements, including commercial, software and licensing.
• Any experience working in the Crypto and/or Digital Asset industries is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience in managing legal teams and complex legal matters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of legal intricacies.
• Ability to provide strategic legal guidance in a rapidly changing financial market environment.
• Ethical and responsible conduct in a highly regulated industry.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
