Job Title: Security and Maintenance Officer

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Security and Maintenance Officer is a combination of duties ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall maintenance of Limassol AGORA. This role requires vigilance in security operations to protect customers, staff, and property, as well as, efficient upkeep of the facilities to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Duties:

  1. Monitoring: Regularly patrol the premises to ensure the safety of the property and its occupants. This may include checking surveillance systems and responding to alarms.
  2. Access Control: Manage and monitor access to the building or facility. Ensure only authorized personnel access restricted areas, monitor entry points, and verify credentials for staff and contractors.
  3. Customer Assistance: Provide customer service by assisting visitors with directions, answering questions, and responding to any security-related concerns.
  4. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or security breaches, following standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Document all incidents, accidents, or security breaches in a detailed report for review and follow-up actions
  5. Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, including emergency evacuation plans and fire drills.

Maintenance Duties:

  1. Facility Inspections: Conduct daily inspections to identify any maintenance or repair needs, including lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
  2. Repairs: Perform basic repairs (e.g., fixing light fixtures, minor plumbing issues, repairing doors or furniture) and coordinate with external contractors for larger maintenance tasks.
  3. Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of common areas, including restrooms, hallways, food courts, and seating areas, by supervising or performing cleaning tasks as needed.
  4. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors or service providers for specialized maintenance tasks or repairs.
  5. Preventive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on key facilities and equipment to avoid disruptions and extend the lifespan of assets.
  6. Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, and request replacements or restocks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A certification in maintenance, facility management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in security or maintenance roles, preferably in a mall, retail, or hospitality sector.

Skills:

  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with security systems and emergency response protocols.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

Full-time, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
