CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies that provides a range of services including Accounting & Bookkeeping predominantly to the Forex industry, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing payroll for employees accurately and timely, including calculations of salaries, overtime, and deductions, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll processing, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and benefits administration. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another related field, who possess proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role with strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations. Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel is essential, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely, including calculations of salaries, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll processing, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and benefits administration.
- Prepare and distribute direct deposits to employees.
- Generate payroll reports for Management as needed.
- Maintain accurate payroll records.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Key Skills/Experience:
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar is essential.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office, in particular Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
