Elysee Irrigation Ltd, one of the largest industries in Cyprus in the production of piping systems for water supply, irrigation, drainage, and cabling, with a leading position in the local market and exports to more than 65 countries worldwide, is expanding and strengthening its strategic development by recruiting competent individuals.

Elysee Irrigation is looking to hire an R&D Engineer for the R&D Department, based at our factory in Ergates Industrial Area, Nicosia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products ensuring the overall success and sustainability of the company to remain relevant, competitive, and resilient in an ever-changing market.

• Improving existing product characteristics by advancing the quality, functionality, efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
• Repairing defects on products through mold improvements to restore product functionality, ensure that repaired products meet or exceed quality standards, and minimize the need for complete replacements.
• Introducing new items to an existing product line, to ensure alignment with customer expectations, brand consistency, and increase market opportunities.
• Research for products and technologies to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
• Innovation of products and technologies through novel solutions and smart approaches to address specific needs or problems to disrupt existing markets and meet evolving customer demands.
• Plan, execute and document experimental trials; validate through designed experiments to ensure products and/or process can be successfully executed & implemented.
• Solving engineering problems and product quality issues, by analyzing the collected data, using the Root Cause Analysis process.
• Understands the parameters and functionality of polymers through injection process simulation and finite element analysis (FEA) to perform extensive analyses.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• BSc. (and/or advanced degree) in Mechanical Engineering (and/or Product Designing related) is required.
• Previous work experience in a similar role and/or related industry is not essential, but in a case of existence, it would be highly considered for the remuneration package.
• Experience in 3-D CAD modelling systems, FEA (stress analysis) & CFD tools will be considered as an advantage .
• Work effectively in a team environment with technicians, engineers, and managers, supporting production & quality.
• Talented and driven team player who is eager to contribute to multiple exciting projects and initiatives.
• Self-motivated, capable of analyzing with critical thinking and problem-solving skills with hands-on mentality.
• Team player abilities with the dream to become an integral part of a highly creative and dynamic R&D engineering team.
