University of Limassol (UoL) is seeking to recruit an innovative Instructional Designer, who can support the Distance Learning Unit in the creation and development of quality education programs, which will meet the requirements of the European Quality Assurance Body in Higher Education (ENQUA), developing 21st century skills in its students.

Job Title: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER/LEARNING EXPERT/CONTENT DEVELOPER

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or Postgraduate Diploma in E-learning/Blended Learning, Education/Distance Education, Educational design, Educational technology, ICT or related field.
• At least 3 years related working in educational design or educational programs development, or Learning Development.
• Knowledge of Adult Education principles
• Expertise in curriculum development of Online/Blended learning programs.
• Experience using content authoring tools (Articulate) and media production tools.
• Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS), mainly Moodle.
• Universal Design knowledge for accessible educational content.
• Basic knowledge of learning Analytics
• Knowledge of educational technologies and digital tools to enhance the learners’ experiences.
• Communication Project Management skills.
• Good knowledge of Greek and English Language.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with faculty to design and develop quality learner-centred online blended learning and/or lifelong learning courses.
2. Support the teaching staff in planning courses and study guides that meet the quality criteria of ENQUA (The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education).
3. Monitor and maintain the quality of online courses, making sure they meet educational standards.
4. Provide training (including ad-hoc) to faculty on effectively using distance learning technologies.
5. Collaborate with various departments to facilitate the smooth operation of distance learning programs.
6. Ensure that distance learning programs comply with accreditation standards and educational regulations (ΔΙΠΑΕ/CYQAA).
7. Address and resolve any technical or administrative problems that arise within the scope of distance learning.
8. Evaluation and optimization of courses using learning analytics.
9. Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends in educational technology and instructional design to improve course offerings continuously.
10. Planning of new content: analyze current instructional materials to identify gaps or missing content and ensure timely content delivery in alignment with demand and the content development project plan.
