Patient Service Representative

A group of doctors operating within the University of Nicosia Medical Centre is seeking a well-qualified and motivated Patient Service Representative, to join its teamunder a services agreement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handles front desk duties, including greeting guests, answering calls, providing information, and directing visitors.
  • Coordinates appointment scheduling, maintains records on relevant systems and GESY, and ensures timely patient arrivals and service delivery.
  • Maintains and updates patient records in compliance with privacy regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of medical information.
  • Manages payment processes, including recording financial information and collecting patient charges.
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients, addressing concerns, answering questions, and handling complaints with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborates with medical staff to coordinate patient care, such as scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
  • Provides administrative support by managing reception inventory, screening and distributing messages, maintaining the relevant calendar, typing documents, and preparing first visit documentation for patients.
  • Maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and organizational policies while actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Retrieves and files medical records as required, ensuring confidentiality and security.

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative/secretarial experience
  • Secretarial qualifications and/or MS Office qualifications
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in the European Union/ European Economic Area.
