CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies operating in the Marine Works and Ship Management sectors, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Electrician to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Assistant Electrician, you should be educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering or similar, and any previous experience in a relevant role is highly desirable, although Recent Graduates are also encouraged to apply. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and be prepared to troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions. Our client offers a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package to the successful applicant that includes a generous basic salary, paid overtime, medical insurance, provident fund, and free lunches. Working hours are from Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 and 08:00 – 13:00 each Saturday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Ensure a safe work environment for everyone by maintaining safe working practices according to company and legislative requirements.
• Competently operate various equipment and small hand tools to maintain and repair equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment.
• Maintain and modify systems to ensure they are safe, reliable, and efficient.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete maintenance forms and service records.
• Troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure operating sites are kept clean and tidy.
• Continually upgrade technical knowledge and stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplines.
• Ensure equipment is used per training, company policies and procedures, and the law and use, where applicable, any safety equipment or PPE provided.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• 0 - 1 year’s minimum experience in a similar role.
• Valid driving licence.
• A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Flexible in work times.  May be required to work outside of normal office hours and travel overseas as operational requirements demand.
• Proficient in English & Greek.
• Clean Criminal Record.
