Billing Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Billing Specialist to play a key role in our billing operations. In this role, you will oversee the administration and support of Cablenet's rating, charging, and billing functions, ensuring swift and accurate issue resolution. Responsibilities:

• Operate Cablenet’s Billing, rating, and charging infrastructure by ensuring the system is healthy and well-maintained. This involves liaison with other team members such as Database Administrators (DBAs) and System Admins.
• Executing the billing and charging process to ensure the timely processing of bill runs.
• Perform or support rate adjustments and maintain charging and billing configurations within the system as needed.
• Create new products in Cablenet’s billing system as commercial teams require.
• Proactively build Proof of Concepts for new products to present to commercial teams.
• Participate with the rest of the Digital team to map the 3-year strategy for the billing ecosystem.
• Provide technical support required to set up and maintain internal parameters for the billing software.
• Monitor performance, investigate in-depth billing issues, and maintain systems according to Cablenet’s standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and patches, in coordination with the vendor.
• Build and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform customer follow-ups as needed to ensure timely resolution of all billing issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
• Excellent Knowledge of Linux, and various operating systems and platforms
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Any Professional certification in related systems will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud technologies will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban will be considered an advantage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills to enable multitasking and timely follow-up
• Ability to use own initiative, prioritize, and work independently
